Adoption of the law "On the State Automated Information System "ERA-GLONASS"

Adoption of the law "On the State Automated Information System "ERA-GLONASS ". A few days ago, the State Duma adopted in the second reading the law "On State Automated Information System "ERA-GLONASS". This Law will come into force from 1st of January 2014. It defined the features  of the vehicles devices calling emergency services, simplified procedure of calling operational data services. In the current version of the law eliminated the requirement to provide a personal data of vehicle owners to the system. Now  device is not associated with a man, it is associated with a  certain car. Subsequently, interaction of the system "ERA-GLONASS" with the automated information system "OSAGO" in the future predicted by the government.

"ERA-GLONASS" all  newly issued equipment and installed on vehicles of category M (passenger transport) and N (freight) will be in accordance
with the requirements and terms of the technical regulations of the Customs Union of wheeled vehicles safety,  from January the 1st, 2017. Vehicles without  emergency services, can be equipped with such devices on the initiative of owners. In this case, the owner is also obliged  to provide "ERA-GLONASS"  with information about state license plate, VIN-number, the body number, model and color of the vehicle.
